ABOUT ART FOR LIFE EAST HAMPTON
ART FOR LIFE is Rush Philanthropic’s primary outreach to friends and supporters. Through this event, we are able to serve thousands of children by helping them acquire the skills needed to build a successful life. After eight sold out successful years, we are poised to make our ninth year even more exciting. The evening will honor exemplary individuals for success in their respective fields and good works to better the community. Past honorees include Forest Whitaker, Judith Jamison, Brooklyn Academy of Music, David Rosenberg of Unifund, Tracy Maitland of Advent Capital Management, Alicia Keys, Donna Karan, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins, Raymond J. McGuire, Ross Bleckner, Ben Cohen of Ben & Jerry’s, Sherry B. Bronfman, Michael Goldstein, Earl G. Graves Sr., Tommy Hilfiger, Martha Stewart, Cathy Hughes, Linda Johnson Rice, Michael Lee-Chin, Cynthia Nixon, Gordon Parks, VH1’s John Sykes, and the Studio Museum in Harlem’s Lowery Stokes Sims. Past hosts and auctioneers of the event include Kelly Ripa, Queen Latifah, Kimora Lee Simmons, Star Jones, Chevy Chase, Rosie Perez, Cynthia Nixon, and Cedric “The Entertainer”. Guests have included Senator Chuck Schumer, Bob Johnson of BET, Usher, Ken Chenault of American Express, the cast of Sex and the City, Heather Graham, Harvey Weinstein, Juanita Jordan, Holly Robinson Peete, Gayle King, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Betsey Johnson, Patricia Field, Al Roker & Debra Roberts, Ruby Dee & Ossie Davis, Jay-Z, Damon Dash, Katie Couric, Richard Parsons, Rev. Al Sharpton, Marty Richards, and Donny Deutsch. The organization’s annual ART FOR LIFE East Hampton and Palm Beach benefits raised more than $2 million in 2007.

Tribeca Co. candles were selected for the 2008 Tribeca Film Festival gift bags. The Tribeca Film Festival was founded in 2002 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff in response to the attacks on the World Trade Center.
